DevelopSense was founded in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, to provide testing and consulting services. In 2002, I returned to my home, Toronto.
In 2003, I began a close collaboration with James Bach. In the last several years, I've taught the Rapid Software Testing course that I now co-author with him in Canada (Ontario, Nova Scotia, British Columbia), the United States (California, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Washington state), Brazil, France, Germany, India, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey. I've given presentations on Rapid Software Testing, exploratory testing, and a host of other testing and management topics at conferences in Ottawa, Ontario; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid in Spain; Wellington, New Zealand; Canberra and Sydney in Australia; New Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai, in India; Stockholm, Sweden; Den Haag and Baarn, The Netherlands; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Boston, Massachusetts; Portland, Oregon; Orlando, Florida; and Toronto, Ontario.
In 2005, I co-founded (with my colleague Fiona Charles) the Toronto Workshop on Software Testing, and I've written a regular column for Better Software Magazine (formerly STQE) since 2005. Through 2005, I also tested almost full-time for a large Canadian financial services organization.
